GKR London Property Recruitment: Q1

2018 is well underway; we are almost two weeks into the second business quarter! For GKR London, it has been a great start to the year but there is a lot more to look forward to on the horizon. The new year for the property industry is always full of excitement with lots of new hiring campaigns and fresh candidates but naturally that means a lot more competition. For us internally we have onboarded four new starters strengthening our residential, commercial, property management and contract desks whilst actively seeking three more additions to our residential and office support teams in the very near future. So, what have we achieved?

Residential Team

Congratulations Michael Woda on achieving Directorship at the start of the year. Michael has been an invaluable team member since the inception of our residential team and has supported our Founder, Grant Kaveney to develop an excellent reputation in the market working with some of the largest and most successful property establishments from high-street agencies to international property developers and nigh-net-worth investment funds.

Our Residential Top Billers celebrated their achievements this quarter at two fantastic lunch clubs; a native-South-African Braai by Hammer & Tongs & an Italian retreat at Cacciari’s.

Property Management

Our Property Management superstars have had some fantastic results. The team have been extremely busy with the amount of live jobs that have been available with notable successes with JLL, Knight FrankSavills & Berkeley Homes.  Rose Lock was new to the team in early February and has already made three successful placements following a track record working in the sector herself.

Congratulations Molly Shoesmith, our ex-Property Management specialist for achieving promotion and becoming our Operations & Training Manager in January.

Commercial & Technical

Q1 is always an exciting period for the commercial & technical team knowing at least one week of it will be spent in sunny Cannes at the MIPIM event. Five of our consultants powered through a jampacked week meeting with Development Managers, Commercial Project Managers, Surveyors & Architects – the works! It was a very successful visit having set up an event with one of our clients and the team returned with an array of new contacts, jobs to work on and both active and passive candidates considering their next steps. In the office, the commercial team have also worked extremely hard in placing several senior, director level candidates in their new role; great work team!

Well done Luke Joy, Michael Woda and Grant Kaveney for your hard work.

Office Support

Our office support team has consistently kept their pace this year working with a wide group of clients supporting them with sales administration, financial accounts, marketing, project administration and office management. The team have worked hard to diversify their services to suit the markets’ demands and have been extremely successful in building excellent account relationships resulting in a number of retained, exclusive instructions.

Keep up the hard work Anu Deb!

Following the Easter break, we are fully refreshed and ready to take full advantage of Q2, usually the busiest and our best period for the year. The market is bursting with new opportunities, the industry is oozing with positivity and we are excellently poised to make the perfect match of talent to your brand! We are also looking for our next group of Top Billers and are open to all levels of experience; if you have worked in the property sector or tried your hand at recruitment before in another sector, we want to hear from you! Get in touch!
