We're launching in Manchester.

GKR London are tackling the North West!

Established in 2010 to recruit for the ever-growing residential property market across London and the Greater Home Counties, GKR expanded into the Commercial property market in 2015 and strengthened our interim team to embrace public sector organisations in addition to private consultancies, developers, client-side and contractors. Now, we are pleased to announce the launch of our Manchester office in Spinningfields and are extremely excited to develop further presence within the North-West of England.

GKR London recruit for all property related positions ranging from residential sales and lettings negotiator positions, client-services, management roles, building and quantity surveying, project management, property management, front and back office support staff including but not limited to PA’s, EA’, Marketing, Accounts & Finance, Reception, Administration etc. Between July 2014 and July 2017, house prices in Manchester rose by 34%, outstripping the national average by 4%. The increase in employment prospects will only serve to heighten demand for housing, leading to inflation of property prices and a more active property market, both in sales and rentals. This landscape requires property professionals to manage the market, which, because of the rapid increase in activity, offers an exciting opportunity for those professionals looking to gain wider exposure in a developing market.

“The North West has long time been a target for GKR; we have been representing many national consultancies in the region remotely as well as working with some of the biggest funds operating in the area. We will be continuing these relationships and partnering with regional organisations to assist them in achieving their growth targets over the next few years. With the inward investment in co-working & Industrial, we forecast there will be a huge need for qualified staff and the area has never been more lucrative.” Luke Joy, Head of Commercial

Recently, The Greater Manchester Combined Authority spent over £280 million on transport, improving metro routes, adding cycle lanes and improving pedestrian routes around the city. Additionally, HS2 is due to arrive in the city by 2026, which will provide high speed links around the UK, cutting journey time to London to just 67 minutes. Between 2002-2015, the city’s growth has exceeded London, with its population increasing by 149% and jobs growth of 84%.

“We’ve had an incredible journey in London and have steadily built a formidable reputation across the property sector. Whilst we’ve been cracking on down in the south, it’s been exciting to watch the property landscape change in the UK. Manchester is very much on the up with more and more clients of ours hiring in the North West and asking us for assistance. I couldn’t be more excited about launching our office in the NW and having spent a lot of time up there recently, I find the city vibrant, fun and incredibly impressive. If you’re a senior consultant in the area and want to play a major role in our expansion plans, get in touch with us.” Grant Kaveney, Founding Director

Manchester has experienced an incredible property boom in recent years which has transformed the city and whet the appetite of some big businesses including Google, Amazon & Microsoft. With high rental yields, rising property prices and increased investment in the region, Manchester has developed a winning combination for its’ property market and there are no signs of it stopping.

Over the next 12 months we will be working alongside Recruitment Entrepreneur, Urban Connect & Clarus Education based from Spinningfields and we would love to hear from you!
