Alfresco dining in London this Summer.

So far this Summer we have been lucky enough to enjoy 7-8 weeks of glorious sunshine! Thankfully for all the budding gardeners out there, the rain has since poured and boy did it come crashing down! But it’s looking like we’ll be getting another month of sunshine before it disappears till this time next year, so we have put together a list of our favourite places to eat and drink Alfresco across London.

The Botanist Greenhouse, Rosewood – Holborn

The Rosewood have collaborated with The Botanist Gin to inspire the construction of their summer greenhouse. For all you Gin-lovers, this is a top spot to bask in the sunshine in the middle of their Edwardian Courtyard surrounded by beautiful hanging terrariums and foliage.

The Landmark Hotel – Marylebone

Step into this beautiful courtyard and you may forget you’re in London! At the beginning of the First World War the hotel was requisitioned by the military for use as a convalescent home for officers. Now, The Landmark Hotel really does appeal to the sophisticated; where else can you dine under towering palm trees in the UK?

Roof East – Stratford

Slightly different offering here but will appeal to many I’m sure – a playground for grown-ups only! Whilst watching the sun set over Olympic park you can enjoy a game of crazy golf or bowling. They also offer street food and you only pay for what you want to get involved in, entry is free!

Pop Brixton – Brixton

Although a temporary project, it’s been received fantastically by the local community. Pop Brixton is a space designed for creative independent businesses to show case their talent whether it be food, entertainment and social enterprise. Keep an eye out on the event calendar!

Franks Café, Peckham

Frank’s Cafe is the flagship architectural commission of Bold Tendencies in Peckham. Now in its 10th year, Frank’s provides a classic drink offering for the thousands of visitors to the rooftop each summer, including beers, wines, and cocktails.

Daisy & Green – Paddington

Directly outside Padding Station on the Grand Union Canal are two floating boats designed by Sir Peter Blake, the ‘Godfather’ of Pop Art. The two boats share a combines 50-meter upper deck and opens in the early hours of the mooring through to late evening for flat whites, canal-side dining and local craft beers.

Jin Bo Law – Aldgate

Above the Dorsett City Hotel and surrounded by London’s most iconic buildings, Jin Bo Law is newly opened this year offering unrivalled views and a cocktail menu which will take you on a journey through mixology. GKR London recently celebrated our Summer Party there and we were even lucky enough to have fire-eating, hula-hooping performers!

Summertime gives us the best excuse to catch up with old friends, network with your colleagues and to make the most of being out and about! At GKR London, we have and will be continuing to make the most of the opportunity to get down to networking events, company drinks and summer dos to help cement some of the relationships we have already formed as well as build some new. Get in touch with us today if you fancy a coffee, a cocktail or a bite to eat with us at any of the above destinations! Happy Summer all!
